Radeon Creator Workstation

Best for: Creators whose software stack runs on AMD (DaVinci Resolve, Blender HIP, Adobe creative apps, Unreal Engine 5, ROCm-compatible AI), and anyone who values the 24 GB VRAM headroom of the RX 7900 XTX at the lowest creator-workstation price in our lineup.

Pure all-AMD build pairing the Ryzen 9 9950X (Zen 5, 16 cores / 32 threads) with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX (24 GB GDDR6, RDNA 3, FSR 3 Frame Gen). 32 GB of DDR5 and a 1 TB Gen4 NVMe boot drive on a 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU. At $3,899 this is the cheapest creator workstation in our lineup and the only build under $9,000 with more than 16 GB of GPU VRAM. Hand-built in Vaughan, Ontario. Same-day pickup or free Canada-wide shipping.

GPU compatibility note: This build uses an AMD Radeon GPU. Works natively with: DaVinci Resolve, Blender HIP, Adobe Suite (Premiere / After Effects / Photoshop / Lightroom), Unreal Engine 5, Unity, OBS Studio (VCE encoder), Stable Diffusion via ROCm / ZLUDA, and llama.cpp / LM Studio for local LLM inference. Does NOT support CUDA-only software including Octane Render, NVIDIA OptiX denoising, and a handful of AI training frameworks. If your workflow needs any of those, see our Indie Creator ($4,299, RTX 5070 Ti) or one of the RTX 5080 / 5090 builds.

The 24 GB VRAM Sweet Spot

At this price point, GPU memory is usually the first thing that gets cut. The RX 7900 XTX is the exception — 24 GB of GDDR6, more VRAM than every other consumer creator build under $9,000. For creators working in Blender Cycles with large textured scenes, DaVinci Resolve with smart cache on 4K timelines and Fusion composites, ComfyUI / Automatic1111 generating high-resolution Stable Diffusion images, or running local LLMs via llama.cpp's HIP backend, that extra VRAM headroom is the difference between a fluid workflow and constantly managing memory. The Ryzen 9 9950X feeds it with 16 Zen 5 cores at 5.7 GHz — strong on multi-threaded encoding, parallel rendering, and Adobe Suite plugin chains. The all-AMD stack also means perfect FSR 3 Frame Generation support in real-time engines (Unreal 5, Unity) at high refresh rates without any vendor-mixing surprises.

Who Buys This

This workstation is for: Video editors working in DaVinci Resolve. Blender artists who use Cycles or Eevee. Photographers in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. Streamers using OBS with VCE encoding. Unreal Engine 5 and Unity developers. ROCm-compatible AI hobbyists generating SDXL imagery and running local 7B–13B language models. Creators who want maximum VRAM at the lowest entry price.

Not the right fit if: Your software stack requires CUDA — Octane Render, NVIDIA OptiX denoise, and several AI training frameworks are NVIDIA-only. Go to the Indie Creator ($4,299, RTX 5070 Ti) for the cheapest CUDA-compatible build. If you need an RTX PRO driver-certified GPU for CAD / CAE — see Threadripper PRO builds. If your bottleneck is system RAM (multi-app, 8K) — see the Studio Creator (96 GB DDR5).

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my creative software work on an AMD GPU?

Most modern creator software supports AMD natively. Confirmed compatibility: DaVinci Resolve (full AMD acceleration), Blender Cycles (HIP — AMD's CUDA equivalent), Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (AMD acceleration), Photoshop and Lightroom (full support), Unreal Engine 5 and Unity (full support), OBS Studio (AMD VCE encoder for streaming), Stable Diffusion via ComfyUI / Automatic1111 (ROCm path, ZLUDA shim), and llama.cpp / LM Studio for local LLM inference. Software that requires CUDA and does NOT have an AMD path — including Octane Render, NVIDIA OptiX denoising, and a handful of AI training frameworks — won't run on this build. If your workflow depends on those, see one of our RTX 5070 Ti / 5080 / 5090 builds instead.

Why 24 GB of VRAM matters at this price

The RX 7900 XTX ships with 24 GB of GDDR6 VRAM — that's more VRAM than every other consumer creator build in our lineup (the RTX 5080 builds have 16 GB, the RTX 5090 builds have 32 GB). At $3,899, the only way to get more than 16 GB of GPU memory on the market today is either this build or stepping up to the $9,499 RTX 5090 builds. For Blender scenes with large textures, DaVinci Resolve with smart cache on 4K timelines, local LLM inference, and AI image generation workflows, having that extra VRAM headroom is the difference between a fluid workflow and constantly clearing memory.

Is the Ryzen 9 9950X a creator-grade CPU?

Yes. The 9950X is AMD's flagship Zen 5 consumer desktop CPU — 16 cores / 32 threads at up to 5.7 GHz boost. It's the successor to the 7950X and brings improved IPC, better power efficiency, and the latest AM5 platform with PCIe 5.0. For multi-threaded creator workloads — video encoding, parallel rendering, code compilation, photo batch processing — it's a top-tier choice. The architectural difference from the 7950X3D (in our AMD Creator Workstation) is the lack of 3D V-Cache, traded for higher base / boost clocks. For most creator work outside of Unreal Engine 5 / simulation / large code rebuilds, the 9950X performs equally or better.

Why pick this over the Indie Creator at $4,299?

Different GPU tradeoffs. The Indie Creator uses the RTX 5070 Ti (16 GB GDDR7, full CUDA / OptiX / DLSS 4 support — works with literally everything in the creator software ecosystem). This Radeon Creator uses the RX 7900 XTX (24 GB GDDR6, RDNA 3, FSR 3 Frame Gen) — more VRAM at $400 less, but you trade CUDA compatibility. Pick the Radeon Creator if your software stack works with AMD and you value the 24 GB VRAM for texture / scene size. Pick the Indie Creator if you need CUDA, DLSS, OptiX, or want the latest-gen GPU architecture.

Is this available for same-day pickup?

Yes. This workstation ships same-day from our Vaughan, Ontario facility for orders placed by 4 PM, or free Canada-wide shipping with 2–5 business day delivery.
