GMKtec has officially launched the EVO-X5 Pro, its new flagship mini workstation built around AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 495 'Gorgon Halo' chip. According to Wccftech, the SoC combines 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads clocked up to 5.2 GHz with a Radeon 8065S integrated GPU running at up to 3000 MHz across 40 compute units, plus an XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 55 TOPS — for a combined 131 TOPS of AI compute across the whole package.

The standout feature is memory: the EVO-X5 Pro can be configured with up to 192GB of unified memory running at 8533 MT/s, with as much as 160GB dedicated to the GPU. That allows the machine to run local AI models in the 300B+ parameter range, something GMKtec is positioning directly against NVIDIA's DGX Spark.
