What Happens During a GamerTech Custom PC Build? Behind the Scenes
When you order a custom gaming PC from GamerTech in Vaughan, Ontario, a lot happens between confirmation and delivery. This is not a factory assembly line pushing identical machines — every GamerTech build is a hand-crafted system built by technicians who care about the quality of what they are making. Here is a look behind the scenes.
Stage 1: Component Sourcing and Quality Check
After your order is confirmed, our team pulls your specified components from inventory. Each component goes through an initial visual inspection for any shipping damage before anything is assembled. We source from reputable distributors, and any component that does not meet our quality standards is replaced before it goes into your build.
Stage 2: Case Preparation and Component Installation
Your chosen case is cleaned, and standoffs are installed in the correct positions for your motherboard form factor. The motherboard, CPU, and RAM are installed on the bench first — allowing easy access for CPU cooler installation and initial power testing. The installed board is then mounted in the case, followed by the GPU, storage, and power supply.
Stage 3: Cable Management
GamerTech takes cable management seriously — not just for aesthetics but for airflow. Cables are routed through the case's back panel wherever possible and secured with cable ties to keep the interior clean. This improves airflow around the GPU and CPU, reduces interior temperatures, and means the build will look as good years from now as it does on day one.
Stage 4: Boot, BIOS Configuration, and OS Installation
Once assembled, the system is booted for the first time. We configure the BIOS — enabling XMP/EXPO for RAM to run at its rated speed, setting correct fan curves, and verifying all components are detected correctly. Windows is then installed, followed by all necessary drivers. Your system arrives ready to game immediately.
Stage 5: Stress Testing and Quality Assurance
Every GamerTech build is stress-tested at full CPU and GPU load for an extended period. We monitor temperatures, clock speeds, and stability throughout the test. Only systems that pass these tests with stable thermals and performance are approved for shipping. This is the foundation of our 1-year warranty confidence.
Stage 6: Packaging and Free Shipping
Your finished, tested system is carefully packaged with anti-static protection and foam padding for safe transit. GamerTech ships free to all Canadian provinces. You receive tracking information and your system typically arrives in excellent condition within the estimated delivery window.
