How to Configure Your Custom GamerTech Gaming PC — Step by Step

Building a custom gaming PC can feel daunting if you have never done it before. But at GamerTech in Vaughan, Ontario, we have made the process simple and guided. You do not need to be a tech expert to get a machine perfectly tailored to your needs and budget. Here is exactly how it works.

Step 1: Start With Your Use Case and Budget

Before choosing any components, think about what you are going to use your PC for and how much you want to spend. Gaming only? Streaming and gaming? Video editing? The answers shape every component choice. GamerTech's price range runs from $799 for entry-level gaming to $8,000+ for flagship workstation-grade machines. Knowing your budget and goals lets our team or the configurator guide you to the right starting point.

Step 2: Visit the Build Your Own Page

Head to gamertech.ca/collections/build-your-own. Here you will find our custom configuration options. Select your preferred CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, cooling solution, and case. The configurator shows you compatible options at each step, so you do not accidentally pick incompatible components — a common and costly DIY mistake.

Step 3: Choose Your Components

Key decisions to make during configuration:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9800X3D for gaming, Ryzen 9950X or Intel Core Ultra 9 for creator/workstation use
  • GPU: RTX 5070 Ti for 1440p, RTX 5080 for 4K, RTX 5090 for max performance
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5 minimum recommended for 2026
  • Storage: 1TB minimum; 2TB+ recommended for game libraries
  • Cooling: AIO liquid cooler or high-quality air cooler

Step 4: Review, Financing, and Order

Once your build is configured, review the summary carefully. GamerTech offers financing options so you can get your build now and pay over time. After completing your order, your system enters our build queue. Our technicians in Vaughan, Ontario hand-build every system with care.

Step 5: Testing and Shipping

Before your system leaves our facility, it is stress-tested at full load to verify stability, temperatures, and performance. We check every fan, every cable, and every connection. Then it ships — free to anywhere in Canada — with tracking so you know exactly when to expect it.
